Homey’s on the road to find out: the Writing Boots quote of the week

10.30.2009 by David Murray // 5 Comments

The Chicago Tribune interviews a Robin Thicke. This is the first I have heard of this young man, who apparently sings for a living. But I like the way he talks.

"I think I’m just getting over myself now," said Thicke, who claimed he
recently landed a small role in a high profile film that comes out in
2011. "I was holding on so tight to what I wanted to be and what I
wanted people to think of me and then I realized, 'Nobody gives a
[expletive] about you, homey.’"

It's okay that he doesn't know that getting over one's bad self is a lifetime journey. Homey has taken the first baby steps, and he's on his way.
