The Quotable Murr: A Post About Nothing

Winston Churchill once said of a former British Prime Minister, “An empty taxi-cab pulled up and out stepped Clement Atlee.”

My favorite college English prof Dr. Null warned use that Henry James “chews more than he bites off.”

And in correspondence last week about an opinion piece in a trade publication, I suggested the article amounted to “nothing, signifying sound and fury.”
