: a type of contrarian who not only takes an opposite attitude from others, but takes pleasure in raining on others’ parades, in harshing others’ mellows—in yucking, as it were, others’ yums. (E.g. “Oh my God, did you see the new Billy Joel documentary on HBO? I loved it so much.” “Billy Joel is a sell-out, talent-squandering drunken douchebag and I’d rather hear ‘Kars for Kids’ for eternity than ‘New York State of Mind’ ever again.”)
