A documentary about “industrial musicals” that starts out ironic and winds up honest. Dunno how I missed this, from 2018; corporate communicators should run, not walk.
Hat tip to the concierge to the documentary world, Randall Damon—and to my old man, who performed in Frigidaire road shows in the early 1950s—and who always wondered whether the work he did amounted to a durn thing in the end.
As do we all.
This movie is a great contemplation of that, and its judgment is generous.
Randall Damon says
Yes, generous, well said. And kind. We could use more generosity and kindness these days.
Patricia Fripp says
That looks amazing.
Fletcher Dean says
Wow! I’m not keen on hype, but this was the best show I’ve seen in a long time. Interesting. Smart. Unexpectedly touching. What a great slice of Americana. Thank you for sharing.
