This, every Writing Boots reader will agree, is a Christmas story—as told by Norene McIntosh to her daughter—my newest dearest oldest friend Sharon McIntosh.
It is perfect.

An outstanding example of the compassion for others that Christmas represents. Thank you, ALL of you, for sharing it.
I just told this story to a friend last week and found out that her daddy died Christmas eve when she was 12. Her story was not one of love but of abuse. I’m grateful for all the love in our family.
Such a touching story, and a poignant yet precious memory for your mom and all of us. Thanks though her for sharing. Just what we need at Christmas, especially in these times. A story of love and compassion.

Thanks, Brother, powerful stuff.
