There is truly nothing wrong with cursing the darkness. I’ve been wondering for years why dingy little bungalows are selling for a quarter million dollars and who can afford to pay a quarter million dollars for a dingy bungalow. No one could give me a good answer. And it turns out I had fumbled onto the whole housing market/economic crisis. See, if only people listened to we prophets of doom and gloom and asked the same questions.
Yeah, I dig it, Diane, and I don’t apologize for talking about trouble, sadness, etc. It’s just that people get lots of that in The New York Times these days. Maybe if they’d gotten more of it there a few years ago we wouldn’t be here today ….
