Yes. And back (via ferry to Maine).
Turning 40 in April; trying to get mid-life crisis out of the way in three harmless weeks this summer.
Harmless as long as I keep the rubber side down.
I know the Cabot Trail will be pretty, but:
IS it pretty from Montreal to Quebec and from Quebec to Fredericton and from Fredricton to Halifax?
I have unfortunately never been to either end of my own country (I could fly to England cheaper than Vancouver OR Halifax – what’s wrong with THAT picture?!) so I can’t speak to the Quebec to Fredericton, or Fredericton to Halifax segment of your trip personally (although friends who’ve been there say it will take your breath away).
I can speak to Montreal (which, um is a city IN the province of Quebec – I’m assuming you MEANT to say: “Montreal to “Quebec City”…which is a different city in the province of Quebec…I know – it’s all very confusing!) and to Quebec city – both of which I’ve been to and both of which are beautiful!
Good to hear about Q. City to Halifax being pretty. I don’t know whether to expect Kansas or Montana in there, and I’m up for either or both.
Anything, at the moment, except Chicago, where the snow has turned into rock.
And there’s this new one, from Loudon Wainwright III:

You know Anne Murray’s Canadian, right? Boy, you weren’t kidding when you said one of your key markets was Canada, were you?
She’s from Nova Scotia, yes.
(Where I’m headed this summer, on a motorcycle trip!)
When in doubt, head north.
You’re going to ride a motorcycle ALL THE WAY from Chicago to Nova Scotia?!
Wow! I think you’re crazy, but the scenery will certainly be pretty.

That’s a great song, David. Her voice is really gravelly, in a good way. I think back then she was smoking three or four cigars a day.
