Monday Morning Lament: Sisyphus, the writer

I’ve opened conferences by saying, “I’m David Murray, executive director of the Professional Speechwriters Association, and if you don’t know that by now, it confirms my grinding fear that even constant self-promotion isn’t enough.”

Nor is constant writing, it seems.

The other day an old friend read something I wrote and said, “You should write more!”
