Wednesday Happy Hour Photo on account of I’m taking off today on a combination West Coast business trip/motorcycle ramble, and won’t be back for a week and I can’t think of anything better to leave you with than the below. Back atcha next Thursday. —DM

Edward Bernays is credited by some and blamed by others, with inventing the business of public relations. Among his credits were the landmark books, Crystalizing Public Opinion (1923) and Propaganda (1928).

Bernays is also credited with many famous campaigns, including the popularization of women smoking by branding cigarettes in 1929 as feminist “Torches of Freedom.”

Speaking of which, a Facebook post last this month from the Museum of Public Relations:
