Almost a year after the publication of my book, An Effort to Understand, it has a 4.5-star rating on Amazon.

I checked out other “reviews” Mary Givens has “written.” They’re all five stars.

Dear Mary:

Your review’s are very dum’b. You seem to have accidentally ordered lots of apostrophe’s, as well! But does that mean the apostrophe’s deserve a one-star rating, you son-sniffing blame deflector?
