If I am ever, ever tempted to use that “device” in my conversation, I will call to mind this video and stop. Despite my deep affection for you, by the end of this, I mostly wanted to slap you really hard. That was brutal.

That’s interesting. I never thought of uptalk as an issue about women. In fact, most of the uptalkers that I know personally are men. I guess everyone needs a cause.

The PR woman who found a five and a half foot boa constrictor in her toilet in California, and who was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s radio network yesterday, was, like, sounding like a kid, because, like, she keep using, like, unnecessary words, like like.
The snake did not injure anyone, and the woman, Stephanie, was a woman of action and curiosity and honesty, and aside for all the likes, her explanation was both accurate and funny. It’s too bad that “delivery” can mess up an image. But fixing that is the job of speechwriters and PR people.
    Quit rocking in your chair.
