On communication, professional and otherwise.

IABC will live, sez Shel Holtz

06.19.2014 by David Murray // 1 Comment

As long as IABC has Shel Holtz on their side, they'll have me to kick around.

The IABC Fellow today posted on his blog one of the most comprehensive and clear reports ever issued on the state of the association.

I urge every reader of the IABC coverage here to read it.

It's possible to question his conclusion, that IABC's woes may be soon solved by "a new executive director, right-minded strategic plans, financial accountability and an understanding of the altered communication landscape."

But his report, which contains interviews with key IABC brass, is as detailed as it is optimistic, and everything he says can be checked on, six months from now, and again a year from now. And it will be, by me.

This veteran member's participation in IABC—not his cheerleading, just vigorous, rigorous participation—is as good a litmus test of whether the heart of the association is still beating.

It is.
