Scout told Cristie and me that she got in some trouble with her fourth-grade teacher for talking in class.

At the end of the day, she apologized to the teacher, who told her she has a good reputation at the school and she needs to make sure she keeps it.

"So that was good," Scout summmed up.

"Yes," Cristie said. "As long as you keep it."

"Mom!" Scout said impatiently. "You know me. When I have something, I don't let it go."
