Third-grader Scout had a little dust-up at school yesterday

10.03.2012 by David Murray // 2 Comments

A minature bitch told her that another girl, perhaps also a miniature bitch, said she was dumb and ugly and mean.

The vice principal bawled the girls out and then, after sending them out, told Scout privately, "Sticks and stones will break your bones, but words will never hurt you."

"That's not true," Scout told me later.

I think I'll show her this, tonight.

Scout is wise for her years – words can hurt for years after the physical scars have disappeared. Lucky she has a great family behind her!

Go John Candy on her a la Uncle Buck in the principles office. Then send some hard hitters from the south side in to bust her up. With sticks and stones. You know, show she remembers never to say that again.
