My late dad Tom Murray once spent some time with Jimmy Stewart, on an advertising gig in the late 1970s. They were fast friends—both pilots, early risers and men who loved their dogs.
Somewhat providentially, my father-in-law Sherdian Bosch sent me this on May 1, my Dad's birthday. I forwarded it to my sisters, of course, hoping to make their roofs leak too.

David… I was thinking about Tom on May 1st.. (also my father’s birthday and to add to the coincidences, Lindsay’s boyfriend’s… whatever that is all about …) But to the point, listening to the reading, I absolutely heard your dad’s voice. I can appreciate that those two men would have clicked on many planes. I miss Tom too.
