Hey, thanks for the apology David, really! Good on you.
But, um, just out of curiosity what the hell kind of accent was that you were TRYING to do???

Beauty, eh? I guess yer not a hoser after all.
(for those who don’t get that, you HAVE to see this important part of Canada’s cultural history:

Oh, so that’s what you meant on Friday. And here I was thinking you were suggesting we don’t speak with enough conviction in a more substantive way. But I’ll agree with the upnote thing. Especially for many of my countrymen from back east.
That accent was no version of Canadian though, my cross-border brother. You need to spend more time up here so you can get it right.

I agree with Rueben. That accent was execrable? I thought you were speaking Valley Girl? Which I think, comes from California?
    xo Kate Zimmerman, Vancouver, BC?

Wow, that’s incredible. Canadians don’t recognize their own accent when they hear it. And some Americans don’t recognize it either!

You just couldn’t leave it at the apology, could ya?
Sometimes, I think you aren’t happy unless people are verbally pummelling you! I’d suggest looking into therapy for that, but that would just be mean . . . to the therapists, I mean!
    Don’t ever change David! 😉

I sort of agree with Kate, but I think he came to the Valley via Scotland. My colleague, on the other hand, says he sounds like a surfer.
He doesn’t look very Canadian either. We’re much more sophistimacated.
If you want to hear a real Canadian accent, just take a native Nebraskan and shorten up the vowels a bit.
