Did you get this bulletin?
"Peritus is proud to announce our new expanded website!"
There's more.
"With enhanced visual images and streamlined navigation, we've made it easier for you to get the info you need."
If you're like me, I know what you're thinking about this shocking development. Even though you have no idea what a Peritus is or what kind of info you could possibly need from it, you want to know only one thing, How can I help?!
And you're in luck.
"Find us on Facebook and Twitter and tell us what you think!"
Go! There's no time to lose!
One of the Internets tells me that Peritus is Latin for “expert” and was the title given to Roman Catholic theologians who are present to give advice at an ecumenical council.
So, basically, they are responsible for how screwed up the Catholic Church is, and has been, for the past 2,000 years.
I’m not sure if I want them for my PR firm.

They feign writing for the reader (“we’ve made it easier for you”) but in the end this is typical of so many press releases for so many products and services. It’s commercial self-gratification.
A PR agency should demonstrate a better sense of what constitutes news worth sharing.
This is the equivalent of posting on Facebook, “I just cleaned under my nails.”
People do it; but nobody you’d want to hire for their news judgment.
