Sitting on the bedroom floor with Scout, home sick from school. I notice that her foot is really long.
"Scout, how did you get so big?"
"I don't know."
"I must not have been paying attention," I say.
"I didn't pay attention either," she says, adding with a shrug. "I guess nobody did."
Her feet are not long…just the right size for a 6 year old..I know feet!
