Around 8:00 last evening I got an e-mail from a correspondent who said I looked "really tired" in my cameo in this football video. I went immediately to bed.
The exchange made me remember a story my urban schoolteacher wife told me a few years ago. One of her young students came up to her at school one February morning, and was concerned. “Miss Bosch, you look sick.”
Cristie, who was actually feeling tip-top, hesitated before grouchily barking back:
“That’s just how white people look in the winter.”
I love Cristie! That’s just a brilliant line!
P.S. You looked okay to me – pretty much the same way you always look I thought. Though I would have liked to see footage of you doing that sideways, froggy-jump move they have Brittany doing. Now THAT would be something! Any chance there is such footage somewhere??
Unfortunately, the way this story is developing, such absurd footage will probably be forthcoming, yes.
