On the last day of the Professional Speechwriters Association’s first virtual World Conference alone:
• The Chaplain of the U.S. Senate Barry Black will speak on “Responsible Rhetoric: A Moral Issue and a Survival Strategy.”
• The first trumpeter of the Royal Danish Orchestra Jonas Wiik and his rhetorician wife Mette Hojen will teach us how to make words into music.
• And just before the entire global speechwriting profession plays hooky for a naughty Friday afternoon virtual pub crawl, I will give a reading from my forthcoming book, in which I assert that each one of us must find a way to be the America we want to see—and how we might each behave differently if we did.
