Ran across this sign on a utility building in my Chicago neighborhood …

… and got a welcome reminder of the lyrics they don’t play much, when they play the warm and cuddly version of “This Land Is Your Land,” Woody Guthrie’s anthem about freedom and humanity (not patriotism and nationalism).
There was a big high wall there that tried to stop me,
Sign was painted, said “Private Property,”
But on the back side, it didn’t say nothin’,
This land was made for you and me.
