My pal Brian Morgan had his leg amputated a few years ago. Going through his medical records, he found this characterization of the operation.

“That’s one way to put it,” Brian remarks. “Like I just woke up one day after a warm summer nap along side a shallow brook, and discovered this mysterious absence.”
