We’re holding a conference later this month. A speaker asked if he should leave some time for questions.
I replied:
“As for your speech. I’m actually NOT requiring you to answer questions, unless absolutely you wish to …. I often see the Q&A as a hostage period where criminal bloviators hold the speaker at gunpoint with their two-part questions-that-aren’t-really-questions-at-all, as the audience pretends it’s not happening while furtively dialing 911 on their cell phones.”
