Here’s a more hopeful thought to start the working year

Reacting to something I wrote about that dangerous year we just survived and the dangerous one ahead of us, my old Dutch speechwriter friend Annelies Breedveld wrote:

"Remember, there are so many sensible people working in important places that will safeguard important principles and values in their work and responsibilities, we will all do our jobs with integrity and together we will prevail."

I think I believe that.
