Seen on Facebook … seeking permission to loiter

07.08.2013 by David Murray // Leave a Comment

The Ukrainian Village Neighborhood Watch is organizing something called a "positive loiter"—(not to be confused with a benign goiter)—on a troubled corner in our imperfect leafy urban paradise.

We are targeting Saturday night July 13th for a positive loiter event at the corner of Huron and Wolcott. It will take place between 7pm and 11pm. The CGNA, our Beat 1221 CAPS facilitator and CPD officers have been made aware of this. So far everything seems like a go, I'll update on weather as we get closer. This is an action where neighbors can band together to showcase community unity as well as meet each other in person. Knowing that the community cares makes a big impression on those who intend to carry out a crime. If you are a neighbor who does not want this event to occur at this corner, please comment below or feel free to email me …. Thanks, Steve

If anyone's looking for me, I'll be positively loitering one block west, at the Bar Deville.
