During an email exchange recently, Piper Murray advised her big brother:

"As I always tell my students: never pass up a chance to get to know someone interesting. And p.s., everyone is interesting when they're being themselves. (Which means that if you don't want to be bored, you better become the kind of person people can be themselves around.)"

I wish I'd had a teacher like that.

Well, I guess I do.
