I shake the doc's hand on the way in. Over Beethoven's Eroica symphony and  I hear miner's tools being assembled. I shake the doc's hand before he starts. I feel my eyeballs go numb and the doc says, "You're going to hear some cracking sounds. That's perfectly normal." (For whom?) I shake the doc's hand at the end.
