This sounds like a blast! Wish I could be there, unfortunately, I could take a round-the-world cruise for what it costs to fly from Ontario to the west coast of our country.
Can we expect you to be “live-blogging” from RonCon? [ha ha ha ha ha!]
Um, not so much!
Although some of my country-men/women would disagree with me, from my perspective, the only “socialized” thing we TRULY have around here is taxes!
Everything else is iffy at best!
And flying to Vancouver is only a few bucks more than Calgary, Kristen. So you might as well come to Vancouver – it’s warmer and it’s where all the cool kids will be.
Reuben – much as I would LOVE to be with “the cool kids” I’m afraid airfare is the least of my challenges. When you add in hotel and the actual cost of the conference, I’d be looking at several thousands of dollars, which regretfully, employers don’t generally care to underwrite for mere contract employees.
I’ll be watching for updates though and wishing I was there with all of you!

Kristen, here in the States, we’re under the impression that you guys have socialized air travel.
Not so?

Kristen, I see there’s a round trip on Air Canada, Toronto-Calgary for $398. Direct flight there, one connecting flight on the way back!
Wow Ron! You are taking this “organizing a conference” thing SERIOUSLY! You’re like a taller, alive version of that Travelocity Garden gnome.
Around, the Shew don’t screw.
